Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Officer was very nice, not very knowledgeable with regards to K type visa and medical requirements USCIS Policies. Would help one to have the copy of policy manual pertaining to the requirements to the medical issue of having another done within the 60 day window prior to interview. Policy is very clear to read but not every officer will take the time to read it or look to see if what they are stating is incorrect. Ours didn't do this and sent a RFE stating that the medical was not completed by the panel physician in her home country. Which we all know that this isn't possible in order to get the K1 visa in the first place. There is no way to just skip the medical and still get this visa. Even though we actually saw the medical documents in our file in his hands. He was reading from them the expiration date from them. Then states we don't have it in a RFE. We knew that when he told us he would look into what we were stating that he wouldn't actually look and make the right decision. Ea... read complete review

Very fast and easy interview. Short wait, She only asked a few questions about our marriage and wanted to see one or two documents from our folder (a few pictures and proof of address). Approved at the same time.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Had my husband's aos interview today. We were there early and there wasn't alot of peope waiting. You go through security right when you walk through the door. They have you take off your shoes and remove all jewelry, belts or whatever. Just like going through airport security basically. Then we waited in a room for a little while to be assigned a number then we were sent to another waiting room to be called. That probably took 30 minutes in total wait time. When we were called it was by a man. He wasn't smiling at all kinda serious, it made me so nervous. He asked us about how we met, what happened in my previous marriage. Where my previous husband was from, if i had applied for his immigration as well. He asked about my current husband questions about his son, what he used to work in, about his dreads, he didnt ask to see the vaccination record but he did want us to have proof of our relationship beyond pictures which was the only thing i brought. Since he doesn have a ssn yet i have... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 12:50 pm, and as I lived an hour away from Charlotte, I decided to leave the house with my husband at 10:15, because they are doing some road construction work on I85 and I77. Actually we got stuck on I77 for about 20 minutes, but anyway we got there at 11:40, so we stop for lunch before heading to the CIS office. We arrived at 12:30, passed security, have to say the people there is really nice and helpful. They sent us to the information room, where I registered, and the guy told me that there was quite a few people in front of me, so to take a sit a... read complete review
